East Summer School Summer 2022
EAST Summer School is back!
East Summer School is back delivering an incredible programme from Monday 25 July until Friday 5 August (excluding weekends) this summer.
The face-to-face FREE sessions range from one-off one-day workshops to week-long courses covering subjects as diverse as our incredible partners such as arts and fashion, engineering solutions for future mobility, skateboarding and moving rap. You’ll recognise some of them, but there’s also plenty of new courses and partners too.
So head over to the East Summer School web page to browse the programme, check out the timetable, sign up using the brand new application form and get enrolled before the application window closes on Monday 4 July 2022.
Sign-up if you are:
- A young person aged 12-17 years old
- Live or study in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest
- Interested in fashion, art and design, science, digital & technology, construction & the built environment, careers and business

Westfield Avenue – public consultation
Dear All,
Help us shape the next phase of Westfield Avenue!
London Legacy Development Corporation, in partnership with London Borough of Newham is preparing proposals for Westfield Avenue.
Taking your views from our first round of engagement, we drafted some proposals to implement on Westfield Avenue. Our aim is to improve walking, cycling, sustainability and urban greening. We would like to find out what you think about our proposals and any further suggestions you have for Westfield Avenue.
The public consultation is open from: 20 June until 30 July 2022.

Ground works – Update (Phase 3 and 4)
Dear Residents,
We hope this update finds you well. Due to supply issues, we have only just taken delivery of a number of street lights across Phase 3 and 4. Apologies for the excavations in the footpaths; we have tried to keep disruption to a minimum. All street lights are due to be installed/connected on Monday 27/06/2022 and the reinstatement of the footpaths are scheduled in for installation by the 30/06/2022.
