Property Alterations – LLDC

Dear All Residents of Chobham Manor,

some of you will be aware of the ‘covenants’ or restrictions on alterations in the transfer documentation to your properties. LLDC are putting together a guide to these restrictions to help residents understand what these mean in practice, to make them more accessible and to point residents in the right direction for more information. While this is being produced, please contact Sadia and Arafat if you have any questions about changes you are thinking of making.

You can do this by emailing

Kind Regards,

Community Facility survey

Chobham Manor Community Facility

There are plans for our new Community Centre to open its doors later this this year. We’re inviting all Chobham Manor residents to share your views and help shape how the centre can be used within the community.

The new community centre is positioned on the corner of Honour Lea Avenue and Temple Mills Lane, next to the new nursery. Intending to be welcoming, warm and attractive, there will be a multi-purpose hall for activities, a small office and a potential café with a kitchen area.

Chobham Manor LLP (joint venture with L&Q and Taylor Wimpey) are about to appoint an operator to manage the community centre and café space. The appointed operator will provide a plan for the centre, including how they intend to support the community e.g. community group meetings or activities, alongside commercial opportunities providing financial self-sufficiency and stability.

The Chobham Manor Community Facility is a great opportunity to create a truly inclusive space for all parts of the Chobham Manor community. To appoint the right operator, we’re seeking your views to help shape how the centre should be used. Help us get it right by telling us:

  • What you want from the centre?
  • How would you like to use the centre?
  • Your views on how the centre should be run
  • Share ideas of specialist projects and programmes that could take place at the centre

Snow and ice – Residents information (please read)

Hi All,

We hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as you could have. I am sure most of you looked out of the window today and realised that we had a trickle of snow.

The caretaking team have been instructed this morning to grit all of the following areas, but not limited to:

  • Pavements / walkways
  • Roads
  • Block entrances (including bin stores)
  • Play areas access points and rain garden hard surfaces
  • Internal open walkways (Burnell, Hewett House, Hyett Court)

This is ongoing and the team are working hard to ensure a safe as possible path is created using grit. We anticipate to have the above areas completed by midday. In the meantime, please take care when travelling through the development and beyond. Wear gloves, a scarf and extra layers.

Be safe and enjoy the weather.
