Commercial Unit update for Chobham Manor

New information for residents:

Last week we provided the commercial unit update below which lists the proposed rental of a unit to Papa Johns Pizza restaurant/takeaway.

Following this update we received a few emails raising concerns to which Chobham Manor LLP have listened and re-engaged with Papa Johns to obtain further mitigation measures.

At this time, as some of these measures cannot be agreed or guaranteed, we have come to a mutual decision to cancel the current proposed tenancy.

The summary below lists a plan of the commercial units that are either occupied or under offer at Chobham Manor. The three units, NISA Local, N Family Club (Nursery) and J Abdan Dry Cleaners are under offer are all targeted to open for business for use by residents by the end of this year. As mentioned above, Papa Johns proposed tenancy has been cancelled.

The other commercial units in the scheme are either being used by the CMLLP (temporary sales offices etc.) or are currently being openly marketed by two local commercial agents. We are aiming to have all the units leased and occupied by the end of construction (subject to market conditions).

Police locate over 100 bikes in Hackney

Dear residents,

I sincerely hope all is well with you and your loved ones.

I want to draw your attention to the following news article which I believe may be of interest to most residents. After recent thefts of bikes in and around the E20 area, the police are working through the array of bikes to find out who the owners are and whether they are stolen. It may be worthwhile contacting the met police and provide them your bike details if you had yours stolen.,found%20advertised%20for%20sale%20online.&text=The%20seizure%20of%20bicycles%20occurred,at%20an%20address%20in%20Hackney.

Please do keep the management team informed on whether this has been successful or not.

Rain Garden Gate

Dear Residents,

We would like to advise you all that the gate to the rain garden playground will be removed tomorrow for a short period of time. This is due to some works that were carried out recently.

Regrettably we have recently discovered that the quality of works completed are substandard. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, please be assured that L&Q have requested a recall for these works.

The removal of the gate at the rain garden play area will take place on Wednesday 5 August 2020. The work will take approximately 2-3 days to complete. Please note, whilst the gate is removed temporary barriers will be put in place and signage will be erected to advise residents why the gate has been removed.

The play area in the rain garden will remain open for residents.

Thank you for your patience.

If you have any queries or concerns please contact your property managers at

Kind Regards,

Estate Management Team
