Neighbourhood Event

Chobham Manor Neighbourhood Event

Wednesday 1st May 2019

Hi there! My name is Tahmina Begum and I am here to tell you all about the recent CM neighbourhood event, get your popcorn ready as there is so much to tell…

The Neighbourhood Event was set up to meet and greet all our lovely Chobham Manor residents. We wanted to give a warm welcome to our new and current residents a chance to meet as neighbours in our growing community. This was a great way to have everyone network with a relaxed atmosphere whilst enjoying some delicious canapes washed down with Pimms or the non-alcoholic Elderflower cocktail. The kids were happily sat colouring away snacking on their own meal.

Chobham Manor Residents Association and the Events sub-committee supported the event. A big thank you to all the partners that came out and held stalls promoting their services; E20 Football Foundation, London Stadium Learning, Better Gym, Anytime Fitness, East Village Playgroup, Newham Recycling and many more.

We had a free raffle, yes that’s right… free! Prizes for grabs included a bottle of Prosecco, Non-Alcoholic Wine, a box of chocolates, a big tin of biscuits and 4 pairs of tickets to the West Ham United Vs Southampton football game. There was a short quiz to test your knowledge of Chobham Manor with two lucky residents winning £20 shopping vouchers.

Kaizen were also on hand to gauge your thoughts about developing an engagement strategy for building a strong community. Your feedback will help set out our community priorities, values and to frame how we can work together. Thank you to everyone that participated in the survey; your feedback means so much to us. Kaizen completed over 130 surveys are working on pulling the results of the survey together.

So what did we want to achieve? Nothing but uniting the neighbourhood with families and a tremendous community. Look out for future events and activities and make you feel alive!

Chobham Manor Community Engagement Strategy 2019

CM CEStrategy Letter to residents 100519

Dear Residents,

Your thoughts about developing an engagement strategy for Chobham Manor Building a strong community is key to the aspirations we have for Chobham Manor. As part of this we know we need to have a clear engagement strategy to set out community priorities, values and to frame how we can work together.

To help develop the strategy we have appointed a team of independent research and engagement specialists – Kaizen. Over the last 3 weeks members of the Kaizen team have been out in the community speaking with residents and have already interviewed 130 members of the community.

It’s still possible to share your views if you have not participated already, we would really like to know your thoughts about the area in which you live. See below the different ways you can participate as part of the process; the survey will be closing on Sunday 19th May 2019.

You can:

  • Give your views via an online survey:
  • Be interviewed by one of the Kaizen team who will be out and about at Chobham Manor.
  • Be interviewed over the phone. To book a telephone interview call our hotline number 020 3923 9221 and one of the team will call you back and arrange a convenient time for an interview.
  • Complete a paper copy of the survey – if you would like a paper copy call 020 3923 9221 and we’ll pop one in the post, if required we can also provide a large print version of the survey.

We encourage everyone to take part in whatever way works best for you; whether you have lived in Chobham Manor for a while or just moved in. The more people we hear from, the more we will learn and the greater the impact of the research.

If you would like more information about the review and how you can take part, please get in touch with Jonny Zander, Kaizen Director, Tel: 07791 831 103 or email:

Kind regards,
